Current Exhibition: Faith: an art and science interaction

The Faith interaction comes to the Hartley Library, Highfield campus, University of Southampton for Multidisciplinary Research week 31/1/11 - 4/2/11

During 2009/10 over 900 people consented to extract their DNA in a specially designed laboratory, resulting in mini ‘portraits’ on microscopic slides.  This exhibition illustrates multidisciplinary work at the interface between academia and culture by translating creativity and process-awareness through close collaboration.  The work has been widely disseminated across the education sectors through art:science workshops in schools for Years 5-11.  The exhibition provides an opportunity for the University of Southampton community to take part in this interactive workshop and reflect on some big questions such as:

  • Biological privacy
  • Fear
  • Personal Identity
